Who this is
I Know Someone In Australia ("we," "us") is a product-sourcing and shipping service operated by AthiLabs, contactable at admin.athilabs@gmail.com.
The website itself
This website doesn't use cookies, analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts of any kind. It's a static site with no sign-up and no account system — browsing it doesn't involve us collecting anything about you automatically.
What we collect when you place an order
When you contact us about an order (by email or DM), you'll typically share:
- The product photo, name, or link you're asking about;
- Your contact details (email or social handle) so we can reply;
- Your shipping address, once you confirm an order;
- Payment details for the product + shipping + estimated customs duty — handled directly between you and us (e.g. bank transfer), not through this website. We never process or store payment card details on this site.
We use this only to check the product, quote you a total cost, place the order with the Australian retailer, and ship it to you. We don't sell or share it with anyone beyond what's needed to fulfil your specific order (the retailer we buy from, and the shipping carrier).
How long we keep it
Order-related information is kept only as long as needed to fulfil and support that order, and then for five years to meet Australian tax record-keeping requirements. Contact us any time to ask what we hold or to have it deleted.
Terms of service
This is a pre-order / sourcing service
We don't keep stock. Every order is purchased in Australia specifically for you after you confirm it — please message us and get a confirmed price before assuming an order is placed.
Pricing and customs duty are estimates
The total cost we quote (product + shipping + estimated Indian customs duty) is our honest best estimate, not a guarantee. If Indian customs assesses a different value or duty rate than estimated, you're responsible for the difference. See our shipping & customs guide for how we think about this category by category.
Availability isn't guaranteed until confirmed
Prices and stock at the Australian retailer can change between when you ask and when we actually purchase. We'll tell you if that happens before charging you anything extra.
Refunds
If we can't buy or ship the item you asked for, you get a full refund. Once we've purchased it in Australia on your behalf, we don't refund for a change of mind. If the item arrives damaged or isn't what was ordered, contact us and we'll work out a fix.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia.
Children's privacy
This service isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from children under that age.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy or these terms as the service changes. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated "Effective date" above.
